Macy is struggling with the death of her father. She thought her summer would be uneventful, covering for her boyfriend at the library while he attends summer camp. Macy then finds herself with a ragtag group of people, working a catering job instead. That's where she meets Wes, who she feels she can be herself with.
This was mostly forgettable... I definitely liked the side characters a lot better than Macy, but I like how much she grew by the end of the novel. Jason and Macy's mother were the absolute worst though... I also found Wes to just be Macy in boy form... They each had the exact same life aspects and it was kind of annoying and way to similar to be believable. The catering aspect was definitely my favourite part of the story, I loved the tiny mishaps they kept facing.
Overall, I think that the story dragged and I got bored pretty quickly.
