Am memoir about Ta-Nehisi Coates childhood and adolescence in Baltimore as the son of a former Black Panther with several half-siblings.

It took me into a world I was unfamiliar with despite the fact that he's not that much older than me. The hardest thing was the language. I understood a lot of the references, but was bothered by the ones I didn't get. I can't imagine anyone who isn't a rap fan or black would enjoy this book.
