Paige and Penn's chemistry is ELECTRIC from the getgo. Paige is your awkward, high anxiety girl who thinks no one could possibly be looking her way since she's kept her identity secret and writes under a pen name. She is the most relatable high anxiety FMC I have ever read. Penn oozes confidence in his looks, charm & sexual experiences and he is a GONER once he meets Paige. They both are basically living double lives and trying to keep their identities a full secret because they are scared of people knowing the real them.
This book is like a spicy hallmark movie in the BEST way possible. Penn is absolutely SMITTEN over Paige and she refuses to acknowledge it because...well...she's Paige. K. Iwancio hits the nail on the head with the spice to plot ratio- it's literally *chef's kiss* perfect. It's fluffy, it's HOT, it's funny, it's beautiful, it's relatable, & everything in between. Long story short, I loved this book & K. Iwancio!!
