This was my first read by Annette K. Larsen, and I was very impressed. Hooked was a perfect read for me. The hero was sweet, charming, strong, and respected the heroine's boundaries. Their romance and friendship was so sweet and gentle, I couldn't put the book down once I started. The only part that I did not like was how long the conflict with the villain lasted near the end. It was a little too emotionally heavy for me at times, and I would have liked it to have been shorter. It felt like it was dragged out a bit too long when we already knew how horrible the villain was. But I absolutely loved the rest of this book, and the subtle Peter Pan re-telling was very well done.
