‘Hide & Seek’ picks up where ‘Wicked Games’ ended but with a brand new couple. Jax has agreed to spy on Myles as part of the overarching plot that carries from book 1. He finds Myles’ intellect extremely intriguing as he is easily bored by most of the spoiled and pampered population of Silvercrest U. His interest and spying quickly becomes more and he taunts Myles into figuring out what he is doing.

Jax and Miles don’t even really converse until almost 50% into the book but the buildup and watching is absolutely delicious and the slow burn aspect really worked for the voyeuristic trope this book entails! Dixon builds the tension between these two so well as Jax watches and Myles enjoys being watched. ‘Hide & Seek’ ends with an HEA with a satisfying epilogue for our couple and I am looking forward to Jace’s book next. Jax is deliciously protective and Myles revels in it. I wish there had been a way to look further into the events of his youth but maybe Jace will figure it out in his book. (my fingers will be crossed!) Dixon has managed to write a dark and incredibly intriguing series so unlike her other books I have read. I enjoy those too but it’s great to see such range.

Read the potential TWs before starting and enjoy!
