I have quite a few complaints about this one… it was very highly recommended on social media so I figured I would give it a try.
For starters, Hazel is the most irritating and irrelevant character. She was a horrible friend to Poppy, overall just whiny and frustrating. She could have been eliminated from the plot entirely and it wouldn’t have made a difference to the book itself.
The plot twist was incredibly predictable. I won’t add any spoilers, I just want to mention that I’m horrible at guessing a plot twist but this one was blatantly obvious.
Lastly, the ending was terrible. I do not want to be left guessing what happens or on a cliff hanger. If you like that sort of thing the ending may not bother you, but I wish I had realized that was the case before reading this.
