Scar by Alice Broadway

What a shame. The main character's development actually takes a step back. When she finally gets a true and important ally who shows curiosity, she becomes incredibly hostile. The subject which seemed to be the most important thing throughout the series is not used in the end at all. The ending is so rushed and doesn't really make sense. It's as if a whole book is missing. The antagonists are cartoonish-like evil and romance is awkwardly shoehorned in at the end. I wish we got to know more about Mel and her perspective. I wanted more of that.
