I don't really know how to rate this book tbh.
I loved the writing style, I mean writing a book is hard enough, but writing it in poetry form?! (Or, I guess, "free prose" as I've seen people in other reviews called it) - absolutely fantastic - 5 stars in that regard!
When I finished the last page, I felt as if I had just read a memoir as even though this is a fictional story, it's based on true events that happened in the author's family - and who am I to rate THAT??
I mean, this story was dark and powerful - much darker than I expected (sidenote: the 'monster' that is being referred to has nothing to do with fantasy :D).
