The Wedding Ringer by Kerry Rea
4.0

I want to start off by saying I received this book for free and in return, I will give my honest review!

Overall this really was a good book about friendship, heartbreak, and "letting down your guard to love again." To me, contemporary romances kind of feel like Hallmark movies sometimes and this leaned more towards that point of view - which can be bad but I think the main character, Willa's, sarcastic personality helped make it more relatable.

Willa though... frustrated me for most of the book but I think the main women characters in contemporary romances frustrate me because they are oblivious and act dumb and irrational. I also felt like Maise... her boss/friend or whatever she ended up as seemed like the type of friend that wouldn't be Willa's friend if that makes sense?

I did enjoy the romance between Liam and Willa - he overall seemed like a great guy that was funny and likable. While this book was kind of corny I think the whole friendship aspect was great and heartwarming. My favorite part though was Willa dealing with her ex-best friend and ex-fiance. To me that seemed rawer and the way she honestly handled it was reasonable and understandable. I feel like it was good to read about it and the process of dealing with it.

This was a good book - not my favorite by far but I am happy I finished it and would recommend to my fellow Hallmark Romance lovers!
