Came into this mostly blind and not knowing much about the novel. Glad I took a chance on it, because I ended up really liking it. It touches on some really dark themes, and am still debating on if it handles them all well or not, but by the end of the book I did really feel for the characters and why they were the way they were. I did not see the end coming at all - was still clueless just a few words before it reveals itself - and it hit me hard. Not sure an ending has sucked the emotion out of me like that before.
