The Midwife of Berlin by Anna Stuart
5.0
dark emotional informative sad medium-paced

Take a journey thru the past with this novel.  It enlightened me on so much that I did not realize.  Wow! The extremity of the control the communist had left me speechless.  I was so ignorant to the Berlin Wall (Iron Curtain) until I read this book.  It was very informative.
I cannot imagine what Ester and Filip went thru. After the atrocities at the concentration camps, they still can't catch a break. I just can't grasp a wall being built literally separating families for so many years. 😪
Take a journey thru the past and gain more knowledge on life in Berlin post WWII.
