The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read [and Your Children Will Be Glad That You Did] by Philippa Berry, Philippa Perry, Philippa Carrington Perry

4.5

This book has a lot of great information for parents. The first chapter was challenging for me since it brought up a lot of feelings from my childhood. The second and third chapters had sections I found irrelevant to my exact phase of life— because: one, I have three children and the author has one and two, some information was for younger kids and left me feeling sad I’d missed that window and done some things “wrong”. The author is gentle and goes back to the concept of repairing ruptures as opposed to feeling regret for making a mistake to begin with. All said there was enough valuable information here to justify 5 stars. I definitely recommend this book!
