The Last Russian Doll
by Kristen Loesch
I’m not going to lie, this was so much better than I had anticipated. The story is beautiful and unexpected. Heartbreaking, but hopeful. There is so much truth and history in the stories, which makes it all the more painful but lovely. I think this book will resonate with a lot of people who have been in similar situations to the main character Rosie/Raisa. Leaving one’s home during crisis and then coming back, as an adult, trying to put the pieces of yourself back together. I honestly wish there was more. This could have been made into a series.
