A good start that sputters a bit at the end. The second half of the book could have benefited from extra pages, but the story is alright in the end (even if a certain character comes down like a bit of a deus ex machina. I liked him, but he felt underused here except as Exposition Guy).
Still, this book brings fresh meat to the werewolf table. It's combination with commentary on masculinity and the dangers of macho behaviour provided enough food for thought.
