I’m usually such a sucker for virus-centered thrillers. Anything with a mysterious outbreak and high-stakes medical twists instantly grabs my attention, and that’s what drew me to this one. I was really hoping for a tense, emotionally charged read with escalating suspense.

Unfortunately, this just didn’t click for me. The story leaned heavily into clinical and procedural detail, and it started to feel more like reading a medical guide than a thriller. That focus made it hard for me to stay engaged or connect with the characters.

I absolutely think this could work for readers who enjoy a highly detailed and realistic medical narrative. It just wasn’t the right fit for me personally.
