The Dead Zone by Stephen King
4.0

...”life is quick and dead is dead.”

A gripping story well told. Stephen King can still impress even after all these years. This is my first read of this novel and, of course, I wonder how it escaped me for all these years. But, I am glad it did because I was engrossed in the story.

Johnny Smith was robbed of 4.5 years of his life; robbed of his career, his girl and his happy future. All because of a car crash which put him in a coma. In place of all that he lost, he was given in its stead a gift/curse. A curse which enabled him to ‘see’ events from the past and future.

How does one live with this and what does one do with the sight that has been received? A soul-searching, difficult question which we all would probably handle differently.
