All I can really say about this book is that I felt it was underwhelming. It seemed like such an intriguing premise when I picked it up but within the first hundred pages I was already bored and left wanting so much more.
I don’t think anything was helped by the characters, Lily was just incredibly lacklustre and had the personality of a ghost even if she wasn’t truly dead.
I had to force myself to finish it and the only saving grace was the length of the chapters, meaning I could have small and frequent breaks. Not even the mention of a cat could save me from this boring disappointment of a book.
