Love and Ruin by Paula McLain
5.0

I found this author during my Hemingway obsession and adored The Paris Wife (I named my dog after Hadley because she’s amazing) and was surprised and excited to see this one about Martha (sorta wished there was a book about Pauline but that’s ok!). I was slightly apprehensive because for some reason, Hemingway’s relationships destroy me emotionally, even tho I know what’s going to happen. He always seemed to find the most incredible women but never could love them enough. I wasn’t as devastated by this one, maybe because Martha had more than him. She was incredible and inspiring and I didn’t want to let her go. Thankfully I have a full list of her books to read now. Paula is a beautiful writer and this was just so great.
