Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult
1.0

Not JP's best. I found one of the main characters, Katie, to be a bit kind of insufferable. There are many other novels by JP I would recommend over this one (Small Great Things, The Storyteller, The Pact, Nineteen Minutes, My Sister's Keeper..).

A few things that annoyed me are listed below.

What was even the point of the whole ghost storyline? It didn't go anywhere like you'd think it would, but it was too weird to not go anywhere... so WHY?!. It could have done without and Katie and Adam could have gotten together for a plethora of other, normal, reasons.

I'm kind of annoyed we went through the entire trial and were left hanging to see what the jury decided, only to have them take a plea deal. No matter how good of an outcome it was for Katie, I'm still wondering what the Jury would decide. They always say the longer the jury takes, the better that is for the defendant because there is clearly doubt.

did Sarah kill the baby? or just do the hiding part of it? and WTF, worst mom ever. and dad for that matter. bleh.
