Gone by Michael Grant

If all adults just vanished, would a world left behind with just children and early teens survive? That's the basic idea of this book.
But that's not all.
There are a bunch of mutant animals and mutant kids with super human powers. And of course some of them bullies.
Honestly, I don't want to be a part of that world, even though I'm technically an adult now and would not have stayed back.

With each chapter reminding of a count down that can make both the protagonist & the antagonist disappear as well, the book is fast paced.

There are many levels of uncertainty in the book. Whether the children of the town survive? Will chaos reign? Or will order be brought about? What happened to those who are above 15 and have vanished?
So many questions and a great way to start a series - a lot of questions.
