I don't know how Emily manages to top herself with every book that she writes, just know that she does.
Crossed is hands down my favorite book of The Never After series right now.
Father Cade is dangerous and tortured and just down right a whole entire walking sin. Do I have a thing for scarf necklaces now? Lol maybe.
Amaya's character is sweet, and resilient. She only wants to care for her younger, autistic brother, and give him the best life she can. She is dealing with her mother's poor choices and the repercussions of those choices. And don't get me started on Quinten. Every time he was brought up tears instantly filled my eyes. Amaya's love for her brother shines so bright, it's blinding. As does Emily's love for her own daughter, as Quinten was inspired by her daughter. And I saw so much of my own twin boys in Quin. He really grabbed my heart and he still has it in his grasp.
