Tokyo Express
by Seichō Matsumoto
I don't often give 5 stars to books as I am extremely picky with what I read. Especially with the terrible attention span that I have. However, this book had me in a chokehold since the first page.
I love Japanese writers and their simple storytelling. Especially for a story like Tokyo Express, the Japanese style of writing is perfect. With all the twists and turns, alibis, hundreds of timetables to track, the simple yet thrilling story telling of this book keeps you wanting to find out what really happened on the night of 20th Jan at Kashii beach.
And the ending... wait till you find out what really happened that night.
