The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris

5.0

“To save one is to save the world”
Heart-renching, saddening and uplifting. This was a truly compelling real-life experience of the Holocaust, a deeply personal recollection. I couldn’t put it down. I cried. The author has told Lale’s story in such a perfect way, you can tell she spent time over it, it is written in a considered and respectful fashion. One of the best books I have ever read. My heart breaks for all those who came to their death and those who suffered in Auschwitz and found the strength to tell their stories. It will stay with me.
