ended with a BANG and I cannot wait to read the next one!
this book took me a bit to get into but after I was hooked, I was HOOKED. the first third(?) of the book was a lot of build up for the main plot. but boy was the main plot good. we got to see a lot more of Lila and dive deeper into her character which I loved. Kell’s storyline was so upsetting but also very fun (two that don’t normally go together I know) and the ending has me itching for book 3.
this book gave hunger games vibes and I LOVED it. there were new characters, secret identities, a rising villain, betrayal and so much more.
also feel I should add that the plot for this book felt separate to the main plot that was going on in the background. the ending went into that plot and now I think that the third book will be more about that, but this book felt like it’s own story (if that makes sense)
