Given that none of the plot lines in this  are resolved when it finishes I don’t think can actually be called a proper book. There is a difference between ending a properly plotted story on a cliff hanger and whatever this was. Deeply unimpressed. 

May not bother with any more of this series, which k used to love but increasingly has read as if it’s being phoned in and not touched by an editor. Plus the recurring characters feel as if they are becoming parodies of themselves. 

I’m really sad about it as I genuinely loved the earliest books.
