Eleven Minutes
by Paulo Coelho
--Dropped-- April 2017--
It preaches of experiences which is beyond my time of age and made me go, "hold it right there! No need to tell me how amazing a 'cosmic revelation' or the concept of 'soul mate' is. Leave something for me to wonder!". Argh.
I'd rather have these knowledge accumulated and gained over time than have it explained by this book. Half-way into the read I felt Maria just ...bland and that artist guy... (who?) utterly without salt.
It's my first Coelho book. I would love to come back to it. But never in the immediate future but after a many years when I'd think, "it's time I'd given this old man a second chance." I'll be hurting a few sentiments here. But it is to understand, his books demand an experience you would have already gained after living a good 30 years of age on earth. Not for the ones who has just began adulthood and who is yet to discover yet the vast probabilities the world has to offer. Perhaps then I'd be in consent with Mr.Coelho. It is my interpretation.
Mr. Coelho is ofcourse an author I look forward to. My sister is an ardent fan and it makes me happy that she is. But I'd rather have my fill to do a proper justice to his works (it would be an insult otherwise to his knowledge on life).
