Basically, food porn seasoned with more than a dash of misogyny and ego. I'll pass on any further helpings of this, thank you.

Although I did not know whodunnit until the very end--largely because the unnamed protagonist really was in the dark most of the time--I knew it had to be female. Too many women were flirtatious with him; it had to be a red herring because, honestly, I couldn't tell why anyone would be attracted to him. Bleh.
