I love Michael Knowles! I’ve been a listener of ‘The Michael Knowles Show’ for two years, and have wanted to read this book every time he mentions it…especially when the producers forget to play the bell! (Iykyk)
This year I decided that July was my patriotic reading month, and I knew this would be on the list. Everything about this book is 5 stars. The performance, content, and overall knowledge he shows is incredible. The only reason I’m rating this as a ‘4.5’ instead of ‘5’ is because I regretted purchasing the audiobook. Every time I get an audible I realize that I would prefer the physical copy! Not that I don’t love listening to Michael’s dulcet tones (I do that every morning), I just believe that audiobooks are not the way to process information. Have some noise when you’re doing the dishes? For sure. Driving for more than 15 minutes? Heck yeah. Actually understand complex (or simple) situations and concepts? Not so much. I needed to HIGHLIGHT for goodness sakes! Words are so impactful, but not if you’re distracted by every day life.
I’m planning on buying the physical copy soon and you betcha I will be highlighting to my hearts content!
