The Poisoner's Handbook: Murder and the Birth of Forensic Medicine in Jazz Age New York by Deborah Blum

challenging dark informative sad fast-paced

5.0

I really enjoyed this book! It was surprisingly engaging! While based on facts with real stories and people, the pacing felt like a fictional narrative. I was completely fascinated from the start and really learn a lot about this period of history and now have a greater understanding of the history of forensics. I would definitely recommend this book to people who wouldn’t normally read non-fiction.
