Dark Lord: The Teenage Years by Jamie Thomson

4.0

Of course, as a puny human I am in no way able to understand the might and glory of the Dark Lord/Dirk Lloyd. But I do understand the value and joy of reading this book and that one is high even though it is intended for a younger audience. It is a great book for older children and I feel sad it hasn't yet been translated to Swedish so I can share that joy with my eight year old son whom I think would love this book. I had a blast reading it.
It is a great interpretation of how humiliated the Dark Lord must feel trapped in the body of a human teenager in another plane than he is used to. The interpretations of our world and our stuff and how he compares them to what he is used to are stunning and humorous.
