Meet Me at Luke's: Lessons in Life and Love from Gilmore Girls by Kristine Eckart
5.0
This book is, in a way, a thank-you letter to Gilmore Girls, and I'm thankful for it. It delves into the way that media can change our lives in a way we don't realise until we take a step back and see our favourite childhood TV shows in the life decisions we've made.
TV shows, series, books, songs, theatre, and more shape us into who we are, and Gilmore Girls is no exception.
My absolute favourite part about this book was the illustrations included. They are so beautiful and capture the essence of Gilmore Girls, especially the illustrations from the Festival of Living Arts episode. I also loved the little extra bits at the end of the chapters, like the list of Kirk's jobs, the Broadway life and the list of iconic female cameos. And of course, the pumpkin pancake recipe, which I'll be sure to make in September with my rewatch. This book has an incredible and detailed discussion of Gilmore Girls and would be the perfect gift for any Gilmore fan.
