Somebody Loves You
by Mona Arshi
TW: mental illness, sexual assault
Like others before me have said - do not let the cover fool you. This book is not a happy one. It’s got consistent characters but virtually no plot development since it’s written in brief snippets of Ruby’s (the main characters) experiences growing up. She is mute, her mother is mentally ill, her dad is in denial, there’s not a lot of love, there is sexual abuse/rape (so trigger warning on that), and maybe this type of writing is just not my style.
