I enjoyed this book for the way the author depicted writing and its importance to authors. There were several lines I highlighted that spoke to me, and they were about teaching and writing. There were a lot of moments that made me feel pretty icky, for lack of a better word, but I think that was the point of those moments. It was an enjoyable read, and it brought a perspective of life to me that I had never considered. Something I'm sure will stay with me until I, too, am 58 and contemplating my sexuality and existence.
