A Flame of the Phoenix

4.5 ⭐️
A Flame of the Phoenix was such a great ending to this series! This was such an emotional journey from start to finish. So much happened and it honestly felt more like two books in one, both because it was so long and because it does sort of feel like there could’ve been a natural “ending” of one book towards the middle.
I was definitely expecting for some of it to hurt, but I was not expecting the HOW. Some of it is just heartbreaking.
I really enjoyed the little crossover we got as well. I’d actually completely forgotten that it was teased, but I really loved to see that character from a different POV, and I stand by my review of book one of his series because he’s never done a single thing wrong in his entire life. I’m his number one defender.
Overall, this was a really great series full of easy to love (and easy to hate) characters. I definitely recommend it!
Thank you Chloe Peñaranda for the early review copy! All opinions are my own.
