The Book of Azrael by Amber V. Nicole
2.0

Started off with a battle and set the next book up to anticipate epic revenge with the unexpected ending, but given there are a few of these in the series, idk if it’ll be drawn out. The author does a good job setting up and describing menacing behavior, fight scenes, and necromancy. A little super hero type magical powers mixed with Indiana Jones and the temple of Doom. The news cast was hilarious with a slightly deranged twist. Battle scenes kept the interest. The love story was like overhearing two preteens debate their love life with some “dirty” language. It was repetitive and predictable along with Dianna’s snarky remarks. Love stories always ruin it.
