idk, i read this when i was younger and i remember being GAGGED but i read it now and it just lacked the oomph factor for me. i think the ideas about what drives us to continue in life were interesting but ultimately not as compelling for me; i read so i could be DONE rather than see how the stories progressed.
also the author wrote women a tad weird (sexualizing)
