This book blew me away. At first, I didn't think much of the premise. However, growing up I was someone who really loved Shakespeare and personally was involved in plays and musicals. It grew on me so quickly and I loved it all. The author created a very atmospheric and unique book.

The characters are the best part. Personally I usually gravitate towards plot forward books, but this was all about the characters. We are introduced to a group of 7, which overwhelmed me at first. But the author took time to define them as individuals, and you see such a development of each one and learn to understand them all. There are moments where you love and hate them at the same time, which I find amazing. While I do feel Wren might have been a little neglected, she had the least effect on the plot and our main character, Oliver. Each one had such a personable part to them and they really felt like three-dimensional characters.

There are so many little themes and hints dropped throughout the book and watching it all come to fruition throughout was great. Personally, I can't help but feel bad for Meredith throughout.

It could definitely be described as pretentious, especially the way that they would speak in Shakespearean words instead of clear sentences, but it only made me love it more. I really want to re-read all of the Shakespearean plays that were in the book and then re-read this book from that perspective. Overall, this was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
