The Thirteenth Child by Erin A. Craig

This book is about the 13th child born in an already poor family and so when a god (the god of death) comes and offers to be the child's godfather, which includes caring for a providing for the child, the family readily agrees.  As one can imagine, this is not necessarily a smooth transition and chaos ensues.

This was such a sweet and fun book that held my interest throughout.  I did not feel that there was a lag in the storyline and I looked forward to read this throughout.  The writing was both easy to read in print form (no on hand dictionary as there is in Kindle form!) but every word fit for its context and emotion being conveyed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and would recommend it.  (This was not an advanced copy, but, rather, my Book of the Month book.)
