This book was definitely worth all of the hype! The plot was so original, I haven’t read anything like it! The idea of a breakfast club style high school murder mystery was genius. I had high expectations for this book, and it met and exceeded them. The story was told in shifting POVs for all 4 of the main characters, which you get the hang of after a few chapters. The whole thing was very exciting and captivating, and it made me want to keep reading! I feel like this is a totally binge-worthy book to read in one sitting. I don’t think there was a moment in this book where I expected what would come next, totally shocking. My jaw literally dropped at a few points in the book. I loved the twist on the high school stereotypes as well, adding more unexpected elements and layers, and a lot of relatability to the readers. This definitely deserved to be made into a show, but I would say the show was definitely not as good as the books. Highly recommend, this deserves all of the hype.
