Too Close To Home
by Linwood Barclay
This is a very silly book, that the screwup son became an ear witness to a serious try crime. He gets away unnoticed, but is scared to tell his parents, because screwups gotta screw things up I guess. The rest of the book watches how the police solve the crime, the great and the good of the town manage the town (the father is a gardener, but also drives for the mayor), and how the neighbour’s family cope with things, when their son becomes a suspect.
The book wasn’t bad, it’s just you’re not going to like any of the main characters much, by the end of the story.
