Let me start straight away by saying that I'm only giving this a 2/5 because the premise held so much promise. Here are my grievances - the pacing was way too slow, over 90% of the book absolutely nothing happens, repetitive, high stakes with zero payoffs, world building is clunky... I could go on. The ending was just infuriating. I wanted to like this book so much 🫠😣
