I found the authors to be trying too hard. Trying too hard to pull wise lessons from average life stories. Trying too hard to make said stories funny and dramatic. And trying to hard to show their humility and vulnerability. Just be vulnerable, don't explain to me that you are practicing vulnerability. I would have found this book more palatable had they called it a memoir rather than a pseudo-(I was offered a book deal so I have to find something seemingly wise to say)self help book.
