Smart Women Finish Rich by David Bach

3.5/5....I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to resist the temptation to roll my eyes at the truly awful titles personal finance authors choose to use, and this one is no exception. HOWEVER, I loved how this book started out with the assessment of current finances and the reader’s attitude toward money. The author prompted me to think about why money is important and what I want to use money for before heading into the goal setting section, and I appreciated that. I didn’t always agree with the advice given and I do think this book is a little too overwhelming for a beginner (throwing all types of insurance and retirement plans into one chapter is a little much), but I also appreciated the breadth of information. A lot of books seem to only focus on retirement and investing - I liked how this author addressed other aspects of financial life too. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this book for just anyone and I’m not sure how often I’ll go back to it, but I’m glad I read it.
