The Girl Who Played with Fire
by Stieg Larsson
I really liked the first book, I thought it was a very ground mystery book with solid characters. But with the second book I feel like Salander has taken on this persona of being an invincible super-character. Not only is she the best hacker of all time, she is also an amazing boxer, she is great at disguises, she can sneak in and out of places unnoticed. She is essentially James Bond, but without any of the build up to justify having a character be so hyper-skilled at everything. I thought this dynamic really ruined the overall story, and while it certainly had good parts, I disliked this book enough that I can't be bothered to finish the trilogy.
