Such a patient, soulful book. It was a lovely read.
How wonderful for a parent, who has seen the stars countless times, to wait and let a little child in awe of the stars have their moment. The book is about Little Hedgehog wants to experience everything, the smells, sounds, sights and creatures in the world. The Little one is always 'Wait a minute' and Big Hedgehog, the parent is always patient. They put a smile on their face and sit and experience the phenomenon again through the eyes of the little one and then nudge them to move on.
They see a sun set and a moon rise and the moon behind a cloud. Each page is another wonder that we easily take for granted, but here, they are appreciated. I love this.
Yes, the artwork is lovely also.
