You know…I’m liking this series so far. Scarlett is bull headed and had to learn the hard way that she can’t Katara her way through everything. Just because you’re righteously angry does not mean that everything will go according to plan. Wolf was trying to run away with her the whole time and she was like, “but my granny🥹” like GIRL OF COURSE YOU GOT HANDLED. Luckily, her and Wolf are now “safely” with Cinder, but the road to get there was treacherous. RIP to her dad too; let that be another lesson to watch your mouth. You never know when somebody’s time is up.
I was annoyed that Cinder didn’t tell Thorne or even Iko the truth until Scarlet twisted her arm about it, but I understand. She did what she had to do and she’s getting a grip on her powers. Scarlett said yeah my granny just died so…all this pussyfooting you’re doing ain’t gone work for me. This wouldn’t be the first time somebody had to slap Cinder back to reality. Like when Thorne had to head-but her in the tavern so they could escape. Save the melodramatics and self loathing for later, I beg. I’m excited to see what her and Wolf’s training arc look like. Also, Iko is hilarious for wanting a sex-droid body because she wants to be sexy. She’s still my fave.
RIP to Michelle! She was a real one and made sure that she cussed Ran out until the end. Kai…Kai you idiot. I know he did what he had to do to save the Earth, but I really hope Cinder saves the day before Levana kills him. Now on to book 3…
