All Signs Point to Malibu by Jennifer Snow

3.75

All Signs Point to Malibu is a quick and fun read with a great premise and a gorgeous cover. The story follows Hailey, a life coach with the ability to see into people's futures. She uses her gift to help guide people in the right direction and is determined to stop her ex’s wedding after foreseeing an unhappy future for him.
One of the strongest aspects of the story was the romance between Hailey and Warren. Warren is Hailey's ex's best friend, and he's had some first-hand experience with Hailey's gift. Their enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity love story created just the right amount of sexual tension and chemistry. Although they can't stand each other at the start of the book, their chemistry definitely says the opposite. I enjoyed watching them struggle with their growing feelings for one another. Their complicated history, dating back to high school, added layers to their relationship, and they really pushed each other's buttons before finally giving in to their attraction. The chemistry between them felt natural, and their journey from animosity to love kept me hooked, especially with the added stakes of Hailey’s mission to stop her ex's wedding.
The balance of romance and magical realism with Hailey’s psychic abilities gave the story a unique twist that kept things interesting. I like how her personal growth intertwined with her powers. It added some depth to her character arc, which I liked becuase, initially, I didn't really love her. It took me a while to really get into the story, but once I did, I ended up enjoying it.
Thanks to Spark Point Studio for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.
