The Incandescent felt like Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Demons, and I am OBSESSED!
Pros:
* Expert world building
* All the lore
* Myths and legends mixing with reality and blurring the line between fairytales and truth
* Complex characters that leave you wondering if they have the right to be half as confident as they are
* A magic system that only confused me a tiny bit in the beginning and made complete sense before the middle of the book.
* A villain worth a kiss or two
* Twists that managed to take me by surprise
Cons:
* Ugh, men
* The self degradation thing is frustrating because it is too real
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of five demons safely stored in tattoos
