This feels like a return to form for Hayder. I wish we could have left behind all the tokoloshe BS from the last book, and I don’t think the main mystery was quite as interesting this time as, of course, Birdman and the Treatment. Flea’s storyline was really the star of the novel and I liked it quite a lot- very gripping. On its own, I would’ve given that 4 or higher. I couldn’t stop listening just for that.
