A follow up to Butcher and Blackbird that largely follows the same tropes, Leather and Lark is fun, but it’s missing that extra sparkle the first book had.
We retread a lot of ground in this book, I felt like Lark and Lachlan were just Sloane and Rowan with some minor changes. I missed feeling like they were unique individuals. The novel did also feel unfinished, there’s a few plot lines that I felt like were left unfinished. (Ethel and Bentley!)
The book is fun, there are some chuckles and the romance is sweet, but I felt like I needed more from this book!
I’ll still pick up the next one as I think (hope?) Rose and Fionn will be a bit different!
